One Team or Twenty? The Honest Multi-Entry Math

When multiple teams raise your room equity and when they just multiply the entry fee — with the bankroll rules that keep it sane.

The core trade

One team concentrates conviction; twenty teams buy coverage. Coverage only pays in big fields where one template can't survive variance. In H2H and small leagues, extra teams mostly duplicate your own reads and tax your bankroll.

When multi-entry works

Mega contests with 1,000+ entries: build one stable core (7–8 shared picks) and rotate the differentials — C/VC bands, one risky batter, one venue-specialist bowler. Your twenty teams should disagree about 3–4 slots, never all eleven.

When it burns money

Entering twenty near-identical teams in a small league is paying twenty fees for one idea. If your teams agree on C/VC and ten names, they're one team wearing costumes.

The ₹ rule

Multi-entry budget = what you'd happily lose on one bad night, divided across rooms you actually watched. Never 'one more team' after the toss rush starts.
